DVDs of the week

MARLEY & ME (PG): Fabby dog story about a young couple (Jennifer Aniston and Owen Wilson) growing old alongside their mischievous labrador. Sounds bland but Jen, Owen and the cute hounds make it almost impossible not to love.

BRONSON (18): If Marley doesn't appeal, you couldn't get any further removed from it than this biopic of Britain's most dangerous prisoner, Charles Bronson. Star Tom Hardy and director Nicolas Winding Refn tear up the lads' movie rulebook to deliver a bare-knuckle blast of a film.

CROUCHING TIGER, HIDDEN DRAGON (12): Pin-sharp Blu-ray transfer of the modern martial arts classic that looks every bit as hot as it did nine years ago.
