FRESH off the bridge of the Starship Enterprise, here's an exclusive first look at Simon Pegg's character in the new Ice Age movie.

British comedy lord Si stars as one-eyed, dinosaur-hunting weasel Buck, who helps the Ice Age gang track down their missing pal Sid the Sloth (John Leguizamo).

After a few duff choices on the film front (How To Lose Friends... wasn't great, and the less said about Run Fatboy Run, the better), Simon's got a stellar line-up of projects on the go, from playing a Thompson twin in Steven Spielberg and Peter Jackson's Tintin blockbuster, to a new Edgar Wright film due next year, and an expected return as Scotty in Star Trek 2.

Ice Age 3 is his first major voiceover role - and if he's half as good in this as he was in Trek, it should be a riot. I'm reviewing it next week.
