Immigration chaos let Griffin creep in
IT WAS one hell of a big fuss over one insignificant little man.
Roads were closed.There were scuffles, demonstrations, TV studios were broken into and there were more security men on duty than when President Obama came to town.
And for what? One repugnant, sweaty, fat-faced little man who when he finally got the platform he'd been screaming for didn't have the guts to tell people what his REAL views and policies were.
Instead he just denied them, played them down or bleated he'd been misquoted.
But I'm glad Nick Griffin got to say his piece on Question Time - because people finally saw that this was no Nazi Colossus, no honey-voiced orator whose intellect and personality could lead the British people, Pied Piper-like, into a neo-fascist state.
Cheap
No, this was just an ill- prepared, nervy, lip-licking little liar who, when he came face to face with people who could really challenge him, crumpled like a cheap suit.
But if we're talking shameful politicians here, the one that's likely to send people scurrying to join the BNP is Jack Straw. Because the most significant question of that night came from a man who wanted to know if the BNP's recent successes were down to this government's misguided immigration polices.
And of course they ARE. But would Straw admit it? Would he give an honest answer? Would he hell! He not only avoided the question, he actually tried to say immigration was under control.
Which was farcical, not to mention dishonest, in the week the government admitted losing track of 40,000 illegals and a new report claimed the population will have rocketed to 71million by 2033 - something they promised would never happen. But while the British people aren't racist, Straw and all the other political leaders must realise they DO want a cap on immigration. They DO want the government to regain control of our borders. They DO want the illegals, the bogus asylum-seekers and those who shouldn't be here rounded up and thrown out.
And yes, they ARE sick of having to make do with second-rate public services because of the pressure put on them by people who've never contributed to them. So why IS this government terrified of tackling a problem that for millions is their No.1 worry?
And why are all the other parties running scared of it too? Is it because they're terrified of being branded racist?
So is it racist for a white, British parent to object to their child being taught in a class where two-thirds of pupils don't speak English?
No. But it IS an issue.
Is it racist for a daughter to be furious that her 75-year-old sick mum has been shunted to the back of the NHS queue - a mother who has worked all her life and paid into the system - in favour of an immigrant who has contributed zilch to the NHS pot?
No. But it IS an issue.
Is it racist for a black Briton born and raised here, living in a cramped council flat with her husband and three kids to be angry that she keeps getting pushed to the bottom of the housing list by immigrants getting priority?
No. But it IS an issue.
And ALL of these issues have to be addressed by ALL our political leaders before the next election because if they aren't Nick Griffin and his goons will get even more votes.
Yes, this country will always need immigrants but we're now in a situation where huge swathes of the white working classes feel so marginalised in their own country they think the only people listening to them are the likes of that odious bigot Griffin.
Scared
They feel they're being treated like second-class citizens by politicians too scared to admit there's a problem in case they're branded racist or politically incorrect. And Labour has allowed that to happen by presiding over a system that deems any criticism, any debate on immigration to be racist. And therefore, untouchable.
If the BNP is to be kept in its box ALL of our political leaders have to start openly discussing the problems caused by Labour's shambolic immigration policies. Because it isn't fair that British people who are justifiably worried about the pressures being put on housing, transport, health and public services, are lumped into the same box as Griffin and his cohorts.
Britain is not a racist country but it soon will be if politicians continue ignore the concerns of its people who, despite this government's best efforts, are still the most tolerant in the world.

If Britain is still a democracy, then Griffin has every right to express his opinion, whether you like it or not. Nothing is ever mentioned that Jack Straw was a member of the British Communist Party in his youth, or that his father was imprisoned in WW2 for refusing to serve this country. The reason why people vote for the BNP is because none of the "big three" parties are willing to address runaway immigration, out-of-control political correctness and sky rocketing crime. Unless these issues are tackled decisively, we will see considerably more support for the BNP in the very near future.

My parents are Irish immigrants and I take great offence in the majority of the comments posted here.
You all seem to have missed the point. Because we live in a democracy, Mr Griffin is free to voice his opinions and to represent his voters interests. The fact is that his political thinking is too shallow and simplistic to stand up to rigorous scrutiny. In the real world his ideas - are shown to be as banal as the half-formed, reactionary, spoon-fed opinions of most of the people in this forum. Having the right to voice your concerns and being articulate enough to express them clearly to anyone other to dolts who already agree with you, is not the same as having grown-up opinions, I'm afraid.

Brilliant Carol. I think everybody has already made excellent comments. We are pig sick of immigration. We also need to get rid of those over-stayers as well. Never mind the so called "travel documents" just send them back to wherever they look like they're from.

Once again the one sided audiance of question time never gave Nick Griffin a chance. The Man is a racist and his views are copletely out their. But who the hell doesnt think we have an imigration problem in this country? It is about time that someone stood up and put a stop to this problem. when you have fundamental nutcases protesting at the funerals of our boys coming back in boxes from Afganistan and Iraq and preaching hate to this country what the hell do you do? Our country is to Liberal we should adopt the same stratagey as the "States" if you become a US citizen then you swear alligence to that country. We are to soft and the welfare system has turned into a free for all! No wonder characters like Griffen are getting noticed!

I detest most of the BNP's policies, but would have to defend my right to be English and proud. I',m sorry all main stream Politicians, but it seems to me that you reap what you sow and the backlash from your politically correct policies and laws are about to turn around and bite you on the ass. You are all incapable of answering any question on anything you deem to be uncomfortable and are sickening to watch. I for one had enough 5 years ago and moved to Spain and after watching QT on Thursday am glad i did so. If is should ever move back to the Uk i am sad to say i would be forced to vote for the BNP because the other socalled parties just don't care what we think anymore.

One of the most disturbing scenes i witnessed was between to african nurses haveing a conversation in their native tongue, whilst giving a blood test to a bewildered old lady.
She was looking between each nurse and was trying to get some sense but to no avail, The nurses were completely oblivious.
This was the Royal Brompton Hospital in chelsea, While i was a patient here the only person of English origin was the newspaper seller, Every nurse,orderly,porter caterer, and doctor was of foreighn decent and although they spoke good english i was completely dismayed because as an englishman their was no one here i could identifie with.
I see Ghettos and shanty towns with etnics in residence do i see multiracial harmony NO only a creeping lose of identity, After all a Mosque in Birmingham blatantly has written in 10 foot letters on the side of the building, Their is no God only Allah? I say God help us and i will be changing my vote to BNP

I live in London and i do not think it is a multicultural society. Most areas have communities where people live in large numbers like the Eastend Indian and Stamford Hills Jewish population.You can be treated like a tresspasser in some of these and other areas.Most areas are overcrowded,filthy and dangerous. Streets full of rubbish and houses full of young fit healthy people waiting for the letterbox to rattle to signify another drugs and alcohol binge.No matter who's in Government all they do is ignore the people's plea for a safe clean area to live and raise their children while they stuff their pockets with money and point the finger at the BNP for daring to attempt any change.The whole place needs to be pulled down and re-shaped and it is do-able with the right people in control.Whoever wants to take on the task has my vote.

Has anyone read the 1984 trotsky manifesto..it calls for one european state, one european army/police force. unilateral disarmanent. Our communist goverment led by straw/brown/blair have already put the bricks in place. We have had multiculture thrust upon us. I don't remember anyone asking me if l would like to live in a town where most people don't speak english, where my wife would wake in a daze in a hospital and the nurses were speaking a african dialect. In N.Ireland which is part of the U.K.you weren't allowed to vote if you were Catholic,until of course civil rights marches brought about change,these marchers were gunned down by armed troops and a civil war followed. Was the programme called "Question Time" It should have been re-titled "let's get Nick Griffin" He never stood a chance to put his views forward. Every time he opened his mouth he was boood and bayed by this hand picked audience. Dimbleby was a disgrace and Jack Straw was hopeless. It has backfired and many people will vote BNP simply because of the so called "Question Time" Nick Griffin has a point imigration is out of control we all know it but this stupid government refuse to admit it.

What most people don't realise is that even if we tried to stop illegal immigration we would still not be able to stop the millions who are coming here from poor EU countries as they have legal right of entry into the UK because of EU law which says they have.
Millions have already come and this number will rise as the EU takes in yet more poor countries. So we could also expect millions of Turkish immigrants if they were to be allowed to join.
After two years they are entitled to claim all benefits, including housing. Where on earth do these crazy politicians think they are going to put all these people.
That means that if all of the people from the poor Eastern European EU countries choose to come next week there would nothing we could do to stop them. We would have to accommodate them and their families by law and they are entitled to every benefit we have.
The country is being brought to its knees by the bad rulings from the EU and its obedience by our cowardly politicians who dare not raise their voice to oppose, and as EU Brussels law overules our laws we have to obey.
This new Treaty/Constitution will completely hand over all our Sovereignty to the unelected rulers in Brussels, and Westminster will be obsolete, and so will our vote. Already nearly eighty per cent of our laws are comiing from the EU.
WE NEED TO GET OUT OF THE EU NOW AND STOP ALL ECONOMIC IMMIGRATION INTO THE UK. Yet all the main Parties are in favour of the EU, so what is the answer.
The Government is not telling the people the truth because most of the top MPs want us to stay and be ruled by the EU.
Could this have something to do with the fact that when these politicians have finished in Westminster they can then go get themselves nice unelected jobs in Brussels as Commissioners, Councillors of even as President, (no hesitation from Blair about our being in the EU and now look, we may even get him as President of the EU, and we will never get rid of him and his pals from making decisions for us).
The EU is ruled by an old boy's club where the leaders all promote each other to the top jobs, and to hell with what the people want.
Remember the promised referendum? Not a chance of that, not from any of the main parties. They merely pay lip service but no action.
And, if you think the financial corruption in Westminster is bad you should find out what happens in Brussels. Westminster financial corruption is chickenfeed in comparison!!
The vilification of the BNP will continue full speed because the main parties are fearful they will lose seats at the next election to them, which quite honestly they deserve to for their disgusting dishonesty about what has been happening to this country over the years. Democracy is a farce when we are ruled by an unelected Dictatorship based in another country.
We are rapidly being taken over by this expanding EU Dictatorship which will result in a One World Government (their aim), where the few unelected elite will rule the many as they take in more and more countries.
This EU Dictatorship, is fronted by an elected EU Parliament which has no powers whatsoever and merely hands down the rulings of the unseen elite who are pulling the strings.
This is a very clever ploy to lull people into think it is some sort of democracy, when nothing could be further from the truth.
The joke is on us, and it may turn out that in years to come, if we don't do something to stop it now, we will be wishing we had voted for something like BNP or UKIP if only to try and stem the tide as the main political Parties seem hell bend on selling the UK and its people down the river into that One World Government, no doubt with somebody like Emperor Blair or Brown in charge.
As MEP Nigel Farrage, leader of UKIP often says 'there is a big white elephant standing there (the EU), and nobody dare even mention it'. It is never discussed in Westminster nor in the media. It is simply allowed to grow, and it is not going to go away even if we close our eyes to it, and especially if we close our eyes to it.
We are going to get completely trampled underfoot.

Nick Griffin may well attract voters to his ideas about immigration far more than he was shown capable of clearly explaining, however, I can't help suspecting that an equal number, if not more, will be as delighted to get the chance to kick out smug creeps like Jack Straw, who in his own skin crawling way is as obnoxious as Griffin.
Unfortunately, he can't lose just like the other dodgy Labour leaders, he will simply be heading next door to an even deeper lifelong trough, unless of course a party like BNP guarantee to close the so called 'Upper Chamber' if elected.

I am not a racist, I do not care about the colour of someones skin or faith. I care that this country is becoming a place of residence for everyone wanting to live off our benefit system, drain our education + NHS systems and live in our social housing (Council + housing ass) FOC, majority claim some form of benefit to sustain low incomes (Tax credits) so the country does not in anyway benefit from them taking low income jobs as led to believe. BNP will continue to gain support until the over paid politicians who don't have to live in the areas flooded and drained of services by the immigrants start to pay attention to the publics feelings / worries.

Nick Griffin (and the BNP) finally got the public attention and media coverage they've been campaigning for and hankering after for so many years.
I expected NG to be much more polished and slick. Another Tony Blair in the making.
From the viewpoint of most English (white) and British (non-white) tax payers, NG is saying exactly what they think. He may say it in a much cruder way than the average, educated, intelligent and socially-aware person, but the fact is plain too see:
London is overcrowded!!!!!!!!!!
Its structures and infrastructures are groaning under the weight of all the people it has to support, a large amount of whom came to London expecting the streets to be paved with gold.
In order to comply with the EU and other bodies, the Government has to show it's looking after its asylum seekers etc, etc.
The upshot of this is that the English have been pushed aside and largely forgotten about whilst the UK bows and scrapes to the EU and its rules.
Its was just a matter of time before the whole thing blew up in Labour's faces and the BNP got the bunk up it was waiting for. The Government and the local councils have to acknowledge their part in the gargantuan mess they have all created.
Yes London and other parts of the UK are multi-cultural and have mostly hugely benefitted from being so. At the same time, no other country would have allowed itself to be changed by its Government so rapidly, at the expense of its own people.
Right now? Stop immigration until the country has sorted itself out and is back on its feet. Deal with illegal immigration, the crimes it no doubt spawns, and all the other problems plaguing the UK.
Most importantly: give the English the chances/opportunities that they have been missing out on for far too long.

The fact is that we DONT need immigration because there are five million Brits already unemployed so we should get them back to work. Its ok for you Carole to moan about the BNP because you probably dont live in a multi-cultural area but the fact is I DO, and i see the racist attacks on white people all the time. Let me ask you, did my parents fight for that in WW2? No of course not and the BNP are the only party willing to stand up for us when the rest dont care. Well maybe the media will now wake up and stop smearing the BNP, thats not the way to tackle them. There is no point shouting them down as racist - hoping they will dissapear.
Politicians need to address the immigration issue or else the BNP will just exploit it.
As for the "NUJ" if they had any intelligence after seeing "Question Time" they should take a good look at the policy on reporting the bnp in a bias way because there lies have been exposed for millons of people to see.
