The News of the World has launched the Sam & Jane Appeal to raise
money for murdered gun gang victim Peter Woodhams' family.
Hero Peter, 22, was shot dead outside their East London home on 21
August 2006 after twice facing up to brutal young thugs terrorising
his neighbourhood. He leaves behind devastated fiancé Jane Bowden,
23, and three-year-old son Sam.
The hard-working satellite TV engineer had toiled every hour possible
to fulfil his dream of moving his family out of the trouble-plague
inner city.
"Peter wanted the best for his family. He didn't want his son growing
up in Canning Town. He was determined to secure Sam a better start
in life," his grieving dad told the News of the World. But these dreams
were cut tragically short.
Our appeal was set up after a generous donation of £5000. Now we want
our readers to join us in delivering a financially secure life for
Sam.
We are determined to send a message to the thugs that Britain will
no longer tolerate their murderous grip on the lives of law-abiding
families.
