The News of the World says...

Don't pay scum to be traitors

WHEN will we stop pandering to the sinister hate-mongers in our midst?

Ranting Anjem Choudary urges the murder of British soldiers and lauds the 9/11 killers as magnificent martyrs.

Despite this brazen treachery, soft-in-the-head Britain shells out thousands of pounds a year in state benefits for this vile creature, his family and mother.

Fanatic Choudary, who worships hook-handed Abu Hamza, rages against us and our way of life as he glibly pockets our cash.

In any other country Choudary could expect handcuffs—not handouts.

Enough is enough. Stop bankrolling this evil traitor—and others like him.

Warning: Mercy kills

THE murder of two victims a week by violent criminals on bail is intolerable.

Statistics like those from Avon and Somerset, where eight out of 17 people charged with murder had killed while on bail, are truly chilling.

So the sooner we see the results of PM Gordon Brown's promised review of bail laws the better.

Meanwhile, faced with suspects' bleating demands for freedom, gullible judges and soft JPs must show their mettle.

It's time we put the innocent first.

And to hell with the thugs.

Land of the freeloader

THE scandal of Margate's Dalby Square, where six in ten claim benefits, is that we allow it to happen.

Sure, there will be some in this Giro ghetto who are truly sick. The rest are lazy spongers who act stupid but are crafty enough to claim every last penny they can.

And the money that goes to them is denied to our schools and hospitals.

Today we learn the government's pledge to remove millions from incapacity benefit is in tatters.

This runaway gravy train that enriches the workshy at the expense of the hard-working must be derailed,

Without delay.

..and home of the brave

WORDS can barely describe Royal Marine Mark Ormrod's inspiring courage.

With both legs and an arm blown away by a landmine, Mark at once put the safety of his comrades in Afghanistan before his own rescue.

Now this true hero is back home rebuilding his life—and his body— with the unquestioning devotion of his fiancée, Becky.

Gutsy Mark humbles us all.
