Hollyoaks dolly does the double

THE Holly dollies stole the show at last night's British Soap Awards.

Roxanne McKee, who plays Louise Summers in HOLLYOAKS, picked up Sexiest Female for the second year running.

"There are so many other sexy girls on the soaps. As for me, I'm about to stuff myself with burgers," said Roxy, 27.

It was her co-star Jennifer Metcalfe (Mercedes McQueen) who got the crowd's vote when she arrived in a slinky gold gown designed by Herve Leger. And it appeared Jen, 25, couldn't get into the daring dress AND her undies. One onlooker said: "Jaws dropped. There was no visible pantyline!"

Her screen sis Carmel, actress Gemma Merna, 23, was another wow in a green Philip Armstrong creation as the C4 show walloped the big boys with SIX awards.

EASTENDERS scooped Best Soap and its stars were dressed to impress. Kara Tointon, 24, (Dawn Swann), Gemma Bissix, 24, (Clare Bates) Lacey Turner, 20, (Stacey Slater), Tiana Benjamin, 23, (Chelsea Fox) and Patsy Palmer, 35, (Bianca Jackson) all looked stunning.

EMMERDALE's Roxanne Pallett, 25, caused a stir when the strap of her gown snapped as she arrived at BBC TV Centre.

Roxanne's co-stars Emily Symons, 38, (Louise Appleton) Charley Webb, 20, (Debbie Dingle) and Sally Oliver, 28, (Lexi Nicholls) were co-ordinated in black.

Dazzling, too, were CORRIE's Brooke Vincent, 15, (Sophie Webster) Alison King, 35, (Carla Connor) Michelle Keegan, 20, (Tina McIntyre) and Kym Ryder, 31 (Michelle Connor).

But it was old timer Liz Dawn, 68, who got the biggest ovation when she picked up a Lifetime Achievement prize for her 32 years as Vera Duckworth.

She said: "I'd do it all over and over again."
